28 <td>Indicates that the DSL modem has detected a DSL signal
29 from the telephone company. A solid DSL LED on the modem also indicates
30 the detection of a DSL signal from the telephone company.</td>

36 <td>Indicates that the DSL modem does not detect a signal
37 from the telephone company's DSL network. The DSL LED will continue
41 <P>If the test fails, follow the troubleshooting procedures listed below and
42 rerun the diagnostics tests by clicking on the <b>Rerun Diagnostic Tests</b>
43 button at the bottom of this page. If all the tests pass, close and restart
44 your Web browser to access the Internet.</P>
45 <P><B>Troubleshooting:</B></P>
48 <p>Make sure your phone line is plugged into the modem. </p>
51 <p>After turning on your DSL modem, wait for at least one minute to establish
52 a connection. Run the diagnostic tests again by clicking on the <b>Rerun
53 Diagnostic Tests</b> button at the bottom of this page. </p>
56 <p>Make sure there is no DSL micro filter on the phone cord connecting
57 the DSL modem to the wall jack.</p>
60 <p>Make sure you are using the phone cord that was supplied with your
61 DSL modem or another similar phone cord with four copper wires visible
65 <p>If your DSL has been functioning properly for a long period of time
66 and you suddenly are experiencing this problem, there may be a problem
67 with the DSL network. You may need to wait from 30 minutes to a couple
68 of hours, and if you still do not have a solid DSL LED on your modem,
69 call Technical Support. </p>
72 <p>Turn off the power to the DSL modem, wait 10 seconds and turn it back
73 on. Wait at least one minute and if the DSL LED on the modem remains
74 a solid color, close your Web browser and restart it. </p>
