   1 This is a ReadMe for the New Pebble Card Printer CUPS driver.

   3 The evolisprinter-0.1-1.noarch.rpm package install the file inside the CUPS directory.

   5 Before starting the printer installation :
   6   - plug in your printer and power it on.
   7   - you need to have the root rigth to admin the CUPS server.

  10 -1- To install the printer, go to http://localhost:631.
  11   It will display the CUPS Welcome Page.
  12 -2- Configure a new printer.
  13   We will assume that you are now installing a printer connected to your stand-alone computer.
  14   For more complex configurations contact Evolis Online.

  16   To configure a new printer, now click on the Add Printer button at the bottom of the page.
  17   It will begin a four-step procedure. To go from one step to the following click the
  18   Continue button after filling all required fields on the page.
  19 -4- STEP1 : Provide information about the printer.
  20   There is three field to fill in. These fields have no influence on the printer's behavior.
  21   There are used to help user know physical printer they deal with.
  22     Name : newpebble
  23     Location : room X
  24     Description : New Pebble Card Printer
  25 -5- STEP2 : Provide the physical port where the printer is connected.
  26   You need to tell cups where the printer is physically connected.For the Evolis New Pebble Card printer
  27   it can be :
  28         - Parallel port.(#1,#2...)
  29         - USB port.(USB Pebble)
  30 -6- STEP3 : CHOOSE the model.
  31   Select the EVOLIS, and go to the next step.
  32   Choose Evolis XXX v1.13 file.

  34   By clicking on the continue button, you will install the printer.

  38 You can now print card from your application and manage the printer from the CUPS admin page.
