   1 The code is written for 32-bit windows and was tested with
   2 windows XP. It works also for other versions of windows.
   3 However you might have to re-compile. In any case you can try
   4 the pre-compiled binaries and see if they work even if you
   5 do not run Win XP.

   7 The code compiles with MinGW and MSYS (see http://www.mingw.org/).

   9 Older versions of MSYS are available as install packages and
  10 a bit easier the handle.
