24 with the DSL provider network. Occasionally the DSL provider network
25 may intentionally block this traffic. Therefore if this test fails but
26 you are still able to access the Internet, there is no need to troubleshoot
30 <P>If the test fails, follow the troubleshooting procedures listed below and
31 rerun the diagnostics tests by clicking on the <b>Rerun Diagnostic Tests</b>
32 button at the bottom of this page. If all the tests pass, close and restart
33 your Web browser to access the Internet.</P>
34 <P><B>Troubleshooting:</B></P>
36 <p>NOTE: This test will fail if <i>Test ADSL Synchronization </i>also fails.
37 Troubleshoot the <i>Test ADSL Synchronization</i> test first. </p>
40 <p>Turn off the DSL modem, wait 10 seconds and turn it back on. </p>
43 <p>With the modem on, press the external reset button on the DSL modem
44 for at least five seconds and release it. This resets the DSL modem
45 to its default settings. Wait for the DSL modem to completely restart,
46 then close and restart your Web browser. To reconfigure the modem, type
47 your DSL Account username and password.</p>
50 <p>If this is the first time you are setting up your DSL modem, you may
51 need to reconfigure your VPI/VCI settings. Contact ISP Technical Support
